Tradition woven into the fibers

For generations, Maine was renowned for their fine linens. Local flax and wool were used to create spun yarn. Claudia Brahms and Noel Mount founded Brahms Mount over twenty-five years ago in Hallowell, Maine, continuing this long tradition. The understated elegance of their blankets, towels and scarves also speaks to the reserved nature and simple sophistication of that great state. All of their textiles are milled and woven overlooking the Kennebec River in renovated buildings that date back to the mid-1800's. To own one of their pieces is to own a piece of Maine.
